Back by popular demand! Last month’s Bowie Tribute Show at the Towne Crier was so awesome, we had to do it again! Where else could we do it but in Philly, “the city of brotherly love”? See you all at World Cafe Live, Saturday, June 4th for a night honoring our “brother”…
As history has proven, every Slambovian World Café Live show stands the test of time (real, imagined, Slambovian) and this – the band’s last area performance before finishing their next album and heading out to enchant the UK territories, promises to be even more so, oh-by-jingo.
In their many mythic ch-ch-ch-changes, these homegrown “Heroes” have paid their props to Dylan, The Fabs, Syd Barrett and Joey Ramone, just to name a few. On Saturday, June 4th, Philly native Joziah Longo and band will pay extended homage to a man they encountered professionally and we all knew – David Bowie – as only they can. Think “Life On Mars?” “After All” “Black Country Rock”. And while you’re imagining a Slambovian Bowie fest, imagine a few sneak peeks at the new album, “A Very Unusual Head” and a host of Slambovian classics with guest drummer extraordinaire, Rick Quintanal (of Crystal Cymbology) at the helm! Imagine all this at our first summer extravaganza at Philly’s World Café Live, “The Slambovians Who Fell To Earth”.
This is what’s going down at World Café Live, Saturday June 4th, oh-by-jingo. Got your tickets yet?
